Rob Quick
Hey Everyone, On September 3rd, 2008 at the 2008 Virtual Worlds Conference and Expo in Los Angles, California IMVU was awarded the 2008 Virtual Worlds Innovation Award in the Consumer category. IMVU was among eight winners in five categories and winners..
IMVU was informed that the decision to recognize the company was a result of its truly impressive successes in building a huge audience in a tough demographic, but also for its ability to build a strong developer community. Creating content in both 2D and 3D is recognized as a challenging task and the judges felt that the IMVU community showed tremendous commitment and talent.
“We are hugely honored by the Virtual Worlds award,” said Cary Rosenzweig, CEO of IMVU. “This award is a reflection of the amazingly creative IMVU community of developers who add 4,000 new digital items each day to the IMVU catalog, the world’s largest.”
2008 is the first year for the Virtual Worlds Innovation Awards. And in order to show our appreciation all Creators who submitted at least 1 product from January to September of 2008 will receive a special sticker from IMVU for your homepage! The sticker may take a few days to show up in your inbox, if it isn’t there by the end of the week please email creatorsupport@imvu.com with your Avatar name, and the number of products you have in your catalog.
